This free workshop is suitable for children 8 years and older.
Daily - 10am, 12pm, 2pm Saturday; Sunday; Monday
Participants will first create a wristband or neck choker, in which they will learn 2 basic macramé knots.
If they are able to complete this easily they can then move onto making a wall hanging, where they will be introduced to another knot and mounting the work onto a quandong stick.
Leisa Gunton completed an Advanced Diploma of visual arts at Tewantin TAFE, and has won several awards for her ceramic work. Leisa is a rainforest inspired artist, producing artwork from a multiple of materials that highlights the beauty and the interconnection between geology and the rainforests that exist because of it. Leisa has a cert.4 in learning support and held pinch pot workshops for Kids in action on location at Maroochydore wet lands 2017.
